User Agreement

Last Updated: April 29, 2026

This User Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of Dreambook, an application provided by Chronicle Creations Inc. ("Chronicle Creations," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, downloading, or using Dreambook, you agree to this Agreement and our Privacy Policy. You may review the full text of both documents at any time within the app's account settings or at dreambook.kids.

1. About Dreambook and Who This Agreement Is With

Dreambook is a children's storytelling application designed for use by children under parental supervision. The Apple App Store's Made for Kids designation under which Dreambook is offered carries specific privacy and safety commitments described in our Privacy Policy.

This Agreement is between Chronicle Creations Inc. and the parent or guardian who downloads, installs, or subscribes to Dreambook on behalf of their family. By using Dreambook, you confirm that:

To agree to this User Agreement on behalf of your family, you must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. You are the parent or legal guardian of any child who will use Dreambook with your account, or you have the authority to consent on behalf of any child who will use the app.

You agree to this User Agreement on behalf of yourself and any child in your household who will use Dreambook.

You are responsible for supervising your child's use of Dreambook and for the actions taken within the app under your account.

If you do not meet these conditions, please do not use Dreambook.

2. About the Service

Dreambook is a children's storytelling application that uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized stories for children based on selections made within the app. The service includes pre-built characters created by Chronicle Creations (such as Tavi the Elephant and Max the Redhead), which children can select to feature in their stories; story customization through user selections including character choices, story tones, settings, themes, and story type categories; a Custom Narrator feature that allows parents to record a voice (their own or, with appropriate parental verification, their child's voice) for use in narrating stories, alongside a selection of in-app narrators that can be used without recording any voice; a Share feature that allows parents to share generated stories with people outside the app via a link to a web page on dreambook.kids; a library of stories the family has generated, with character-specific journal entries that record the stories created with each character; and subscription plans and one-time purchase packs that provide access to expanded story creation capacity, as described in Section 3.

Chronicle Creations may add, modify, or remove features from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice before removing significant features that paid subscribers depend on.

This Agreement governs the service relationship between you and Chronicle Creations. Your privacy and our handling of personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy. Your rights to use stories, narrators, and other content generated through Dreambook are governed by our Licensing Agreement.

Dreambook is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Chronicle Creations does not guarantee uninterrupted access and may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons. We aim to minimize disruption and provide notice of planned downtime where reasonably possible.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

3.1 Subscription Plans

Dreambook offers two subscription plans for parents who wish to access expanded features. The Daily Ritual plan provides up to 30 stories per month with daily and weekly limits. The Avid Reader plan provides up to 100 stories per month with higher daily and weekly limits. Each plan is available in monthly and yearly billing periods.

Subscription pricing is shown in the Apple App Store at the moment of purchase in your local currency. Apple's App Store handles the display of accurate pricing and any taxes applicable to your jurisdiction.

3.2 Free Trial

Dreambook offers a seven-day free trial for new users. The trial includes access to limited features for evaluating the app. The trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. At the end of the trial, parents must take an affirmative action to subscribe — no charge is made unless and until the parent chooses a subscription plan.

3.3 Auto-Renewal

Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal charge is applied to the Apple ID used at purchase. Subscription length and pricing for each renewal period match the original purchase unless Chronicle Creations notifies you of a change between 7 and 30 days before the change takes effect, in which case you will have the opportunity to cancel before the new pricing applies.

3.4 Annual Renewal Reminders

For yearly subscription plans, Chronicle Creations will send a renewal reminder to the parent account holder before the annual renewal date. The reminder will include the upcoming renewal date, the renewal price, and instructions for cancellation. Reminders are sent to the email address associated with the parent account.

3.5 Cancellation

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID account settings. To cancel a subscription, navigate to Settings on your device, tap your Apple ID, select Subscriptions, choose the Dreambook subscription, and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access to subscription features continues until that point. Chronicle Creations does not have the ability to cancel subscriptions on your behalf — all subscription management is handled by Apple.

3.6 One-Time Purchases

Dreambook also offers two one-time story packs for parents who prefer not to subscribe. The Spark Pack provides 15 bonus stories. The Treasure Pack provides 60 bonus stories. Bonus stories from these packs do not expire and can be used at any time. One-time purchases are non-renewable and are charged once at the time of purchase.

3.7 Refunds

Refunds for subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policies. Chronicle Creations does not process refunds directly. To seek a refund, please contact Apple Support through reportaproblem.apple.com.

3.8 EU Right of Withdrawal

Users in the European Union have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. By purchasing a subscription or one-time pack and immediately accessing the digital content, EU users acknowledge that they begin receiving the digital service immediately and waive their right of withdrawal once delivery has begun, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive.

3.9 Subscriptions and Account Status

Cancellation of a subscription does not delete your account or content. If you cancel your subscription, you retain full access to your account data and may re-subscribe at any time without loss of content. To delete your account entirely, you may use the in-app account deletion feature in account settings (see Section 4 for full details).

4. Termination

4.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your relationship with Dreambook at any time. To terminate, you may:

Termination of your subscription does not delete your account or content. Account deletion permanently removes all data associated with your family. These are independent actions you can take in any combination.

4.2 Termination by Chronicle Creations

Chronicle Creations may suspend or terminate your access to Dreambook with reasonable notice if we believe you have materially breached this Agreement. In cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or activity that poses a risk to other users or our service, we may suspend or terminate access without prior notice. Where possible, we will explain the reason for any termination by us.

4.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination by either party, your right to use Dreambook ends. Any subscription fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's refund policies. Provisions of this Agreement that by their nature should survive termination — including limitation of liability, intellectual property rights, and dispute resolution — will continue to apply.

5. AI-Generated Content

Dreambook generates stories, illustrations, and other content using artificial intelligence systems. Our content generation pipeline includes safety filters, banned-content lists, age-appropriate prompt design, and automated moderation systems intended to ensure that generated content is appropriate for children. We continuously improve these systems based on usage and parent feedback.

Despite these safeguards, AI-generated content is inherently probabilistic, and edge cases can occur where generated stories include unexpected elements, factual inaccuracies, or content that — while not unsafe — may not match what you anticipated. Parents are responsible for supervising their child's use of Dreambook and reviewing generated content where appropriate.

If you encounter content in Dreambook that you believe is unsafe, age-inappropriate, or otherwise concerning, please report it to us as soon as possible. You can email us at contact@chroniclecreations.co, and additional reporting options may be added within the app over time. We investigate reports promptly and use them to improve our systems.

Chronicle Creations does not guarantee that AI-generated content will be perfect, free from errors, or aligned with every parent's individual preferences. We commit to ongoing safety improvement, but parents acknowledge that AI content generation involves inherent unpredictability.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Dreambook in a manner consistent with this Agreement and all applicable laws. You will not use Dreambook to engage in illegal activity, attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the service, attempt to access another user's account without authorization, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the application, or use Dreambook in any way intended to harm Chronicle Creations or other users.

You will not allow Dreambook to be used by anyone other than members of your immediate household acting under your supervision. You will not transfer, sublicense, lease, lend, sell, or distribute access to your Dreambook account.

Specific use rights for content generated through Dreambook — including stories, narration, and other AI-generated content — are described in our Licensing Agreement. Use of the Share feature is subject to additional parental consent requirements as described in our Privacy Policy and as presented within the app.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dreambook is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Chronicle Creations does not warrant that Dreambook will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, or be free from errors. Nothing in this section excludes warranties that cannot be lawfully excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chronicle Creations and its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use Dreambook.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to this Agreement or your use of Dreambook is limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you have paid to Chronicle Creations for Dreambook in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty United States dollars (US $50).

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits Chronicle Creations' liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; breach of statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Apple's Role

In the event of any failure of Dreambook to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for Dreambook to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Dreambook, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of Chronicle Creations.

Product Claims. Chronicle Creations, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Dreambook or your possession or use of Dreambook, including but not limited to: product liability claims; any claim that Dreambook fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

In the event of any third-party claim that Dreambook or your possession and use of Dreambook infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Chronicle Creations, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Upon your acceptance of this Agreement, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

9. Changes to This Agreement

Chronicle Creations may update this Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in our services, our business practices, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Agreement.

For material changes that affect your rights, the subscription terms, or other significant aspects of your relationship with Chronicle Creations, we will notify the parent account holder by email and through an in-app notification of the change. Non-material changes (such as typographical corrections, formatting adjustments, or clarifications that do not affect substance) may be made without notice.

Continued use of Dreambook after notification of a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement. If you do not agree to a material change, you may cancel your subscription and delete the account directly within the app's account settings or by contacting contact@chroniclecreations.co.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

This Agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada, and you and Chronicle Creations Inc. consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

Nothing in this Agreement limits your rights as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence. If the laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring legal action against Chronicle Creations Inc. in your local courts, or provide consumer protections that this Agreement cannot lawfully override, those rights are preserved. Where any provision of this Agreement is unenforceable in your jurisdiction due to mandatory consumer protections, the remainder of the Agreement remains in effect.

11. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if modification is not possible, severed from this Agreement. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision in one jurisdiction does not affect the validity or enforceability of that provision in other jurisdictions.

12. Assignment

Chronicle Creations may assign or transfer this Agreement, including any of our rights and obligations under it, to a successor entity in the context of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, corporate reorganization, or similar transaction. We will provide notice of any such assignment that materially affects users.

You may not assign or transfer this Agreement, your account, or any rights granted to you under this Agreement to any other person without our prior written consent. Any attempted assignment in violation of this provision is void.

13. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy and the Licensing Agreement, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Chronicle Creations regarding Dreambook and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications, agreements, or understandings, whether written or oral, on this subject.
